last night i dreamt about you.
we had a conversation about whether the past tense of "to dream" is dreamt or dreamed, and so we looked it up.
i took out the dictionary and placed it on the table and opened it, and you leaned over my shoulder to see yourself.
i could feel your breath on my neck and it made me feel warm. it made me think of lying next to you in a big king bed with jersey cotton sheets and a warm breeze blowing in through the windows blowing the sheer curtains up in wispy waves into the air, and the faint sounds of traffic and our breathing providing the most amazing music i have ever heard. then you roll over onto your side and face and your curly hair tickles my nose and i giggle and brush it out of my face and kiss you on the cheek.
it's either dreamed or dreamt, you know.
